This book was written by a hospice nurse and her client to facilitate the exploration of feelings and emotions of children who have experienced any type of loss, ranging from a beloved family member or friend to a family pet.In the vast spectrum of human emotions, those of love and grief are experienced by most of us. They are often understandably intertwined. For instance, when a loved one passes away, those left behind experience grief. Children as well as adults experience the emotion of grief. Even the death of a pet can elicit grief.There are five stages of grief that are generally agreed upon. These stages, or feelings, are: denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance.
